About the Montauk Canyon Challenge
The 2026 Montauk Canyon Challenge (MCC) runs July 10-18, 2026. Founded in 2011 by Dave O'Halloran, the MCC is a Captain's Choice Tournament designed by sport fishing captains and crew to reestablish Montauk as the premier offshore fishing destination in the Northeast.
NY Offshore Championship
For boats bold enough to fish both the Montauk Canyon Challenge and Hamptons Shootout, a new title awaits: New York Offshore Champion.
We combine points from both tournaments to crown the ultimate victor—the boat that rises above the fleet to claim the most prestigious honor in New York offshore fishing.
